As a premium saloon, the Lexus IS exudes style and comfort, and with the new model coming this year, Lexus has maintained that level of quality throughout the vehicle.

Inchcape Lexus News

As the previous model’s design was so popular, Lexus has kept some of the features that many drivers favoured. However, there are new headlights, larger air intakes on the front bumper and an evolved design of the spindle grille.

Also, the full LED headlamps have been reshaped to accentuate the L-shaped design of the running lights, and with an altered side profile, the IS looks stronger and more muscular than the last model. With the option for 16, 17, or 18-inch wheel designs, you can get the design and feel you want.

Inside, the IS’s interior controls are orientated towards the driver for an involved experience, and with improved displays and fittings, the IS model is constantly evolving and improving the driving experience.

Fitted with a seven-inch display as standard, you can upgrade the screen up to 10.3-inches with the Premium Navigation infotainment system that has a split-screen function so you can take in as much information as possible. It is controlled by either the remote touch interface or a rotary dial placed in the central console. All models are fitted with USB, Aux-In and Bluetooth connectivity.

With quality trim designed and made by the Takumi craftsmen, you can tell the IS has been well-thought out and manufactured with care. Something that is guaranteed with modern Lexus models is the attention to detail under the bonnet. Fitted with either a two-litre turbocharged petrol engine or a full hybrid system with a 2.5-litre Atkinson cycle petrol engine teamed with an electric motor.

The IS also comes with drive mode select, which now offers a new ‘customise’ function that helps you find the right driving feel for you. Safety systems also come as standard, with the pre-crash system to help prevent collisions, adaptive cruise control and lane departure warning all fitted to aid the driver during their journeys. Other additional safety features can be fitted.

Pricing for the new IS starts at £29,995, with the top end IS 300h F Sport with the Premier Pack costing £40,995. For more information on the third generation IS, contact your nearest Inchcape Lexus Centre.
