Lexus ended 2014 on high after achieving its highest UK sales total since 2007 with 11,572 vehicles sold representing a 28.4 per cent increase on 2013’s total.
Integral to this success was the incredible performance of the new IS sports saloon – sales of the luxury model almost doubled last year.
More than 90 per cent of all IS model sold in Britain were the hybrid IS 300h variant – underlining the significant customer appeal of its efficient, refined and reliable performance.
Business customers can’t fail be impressed with the excellent economy figures and low CO2 emissions offered by the hybrid IS 300h – 65.7 mpg and 99 g/km respectively mean a BIK company car tax rate of just 11 per cent.
Lexus look forward to 2015 with great confidence thanks to the arrival of the new NX – the first Lexus crossover model.
Almost 1,000 NX 300h hybrids have already hit UK roads with the range set to grow in the early months of 2015 with the NX 200t – the first model to utilise the new 2.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine.
The exciting, high-performance V8-powered RC F has enjoyed rave reviews – giving the perfect platform for the launch of the RC coupe – just one of the new Lexus models that are planned for the months ahead.
Lexus Director, Richard Balshaw, said, “The great results achieved in 2014 reflect how Lexus is becoming a more exciting and distinctive luxury brand, giving customers real choice when it comes to innovative styling, advanced technology and the established benefits of Lexus quality and reliability”.
Adding, “The immediate success of the NX is one example of how we are taking the brand into important new market areas and giving even more customers the chance to enjoy the special benefits of Lexus ownership.”
