NX 200t Price and SpecOrder books are now open for the Lexus NX 200t – the first model to benefit from Lexus’s new 2.0-litre turbocharged engine.

Available exclusively in F Sport trim with all-wheel drive, the NX 200t joins the full hybrid NX 300h which has already sold more than 1,000 since going on sale in late 2014.

Prices for the NX 200t start at £38,095 with the first customer deliveries starting by the middle of March.

The new 2.0-litre turbocharged engine has been developed in-house and is matched with a six-speed automatic transmission with Drive Mode Select.

Capable of a maximum 235bhp between 4,800 and 5,600rpm with peak torque of 350Nm delivered at 1,650rpm – the NX 200t offers combined cycle figures for CO2 emissions and fuel consumption of 183g/km and 35.8mpg.

The NX 200t utilises a Dynamic Torque Control all-wheel drive system, which improves traction and cornering stability, while still managing the best possible fuel efficiency.

Dependent on driving conditions, up to 50 per cent of available torque can be directed to the rear wheels – whilst performance dampers have been fitted as standard.

Looks-wise, the F Sport adds a sportier emphasis to the NX’s striking lines with features including a prominent, large spindle grille with a mesh pattern featuring the Lexus F-motif and a bigger bumper complete with metallic-coated lower section.

18-inch two-tone allow wheels, rear privacy glass and illuminated door handles with puddle lights are just a few of the exterior styling highlights.

Eight colour options are available including new Sonic White, plus Sonic Titanium, Mercury Grey, Satin Silver, Celestial Black, Mesa Red, Ultra Blue and Velvet Black.

The F Sport theme is evident inside the cabin – sports front seats have been produced using an injection moulding process that allows for extra lateral support and body-hugging comfort.

Standard-fit leather upholstery is available in two colours; black or, exclusive to the F Sport models, Dark Rose.

When it comes to equipment, the 200t F Sport mirrors its NX 300h counterpart – in terms of safety the 200t F Sport is equipped with Lexus’s millimetre-wave radar-controlled Pre-Crash Safety system and Adaptive Cruise Control.

For the driver’s convenience, the NX 200t F Sport comes with a reversing camera, Smart Entry and push-button start, power windows, electrically adjustable steering column and power, auto-folding door mirrors.

The eight-speaker audio system comes with a DAB digital radio, Bluetooth, CD/DVD player and a Remote Dial control – information is shown on the full colour Lexus Media Display.
