The GS F is the latest addition to the brand’s “F” range, which is symbolized by sound, response and power.

Building on the mid-sized GS luxury saloon, the GS F featuring a re-designed engine, driveline and suspension system alongside overall tuning that enhances its reflexes.

A naturally-aspirated 5.0-litre V8 engine developing 460bhp is paired with an eight-speed automatic gearbox.

The new GS F is set to be released later this year.

Lexus’s display at the Chicago Auto Show features over 20 vehicles – showing off a range of Lexus division offerings including performance-minded F SPORT models, several hybrid models available in the luxury class and the limited edition Crafted Line.

Live entertainment will be provided in the exhibit as Luxury Awaits, the automakers luxurious lifestyle guide, introduces “Lexus Verse and Flow” at the Chicago Auto Show.

The award-winning “Lexus Verses and Flow” series brings a strong list of R&B music artists delivering powerful performances at McCormick Place in Illinois.

Attendees at the show can enjoy the free live music whilst relishing delicious Garret’s Popcorn and drinks at the Lexus coffee bar.

After its performances, guests are invited to stay on for a special artist meet-and-greet; attendees are also encouraged to take pictures of the Lexus performers and share their experience on social media.

The GS F features structural reinforcements as well as an exclusive suspension design to capture the potential offered by its powerful engine.

Lexus aimed to achieve sports car-like handling with a significant amount of circuit testing japan and at the world famous Nürburgring Nordschleife in Germany.

Yoshiharu Nakajima, project chief designer, said: “Fun to drive – it’s what characterises all the cars wearing the F badge, and it was our intention that the GS F should be true to that quality.

Details of UK model specifications and launch date will be announced later in 2015.
