Lexus has announced a spec upgrade for the mid-range Advance trim on the RX 450h crossover.
Despite the additional benefits and upgrades on the standard RX 450h Advance including a set of freshly designed and machined 19-inch alloy wheels, the price is unchanged, matching its forerunner at £48,495.
New features include a premium 7.1 surround sound system designed by high performance audio specialist Mark Levinso as standard.
Also included is dual-zone climate control, front and rear parking sensors and leather upholstery.
A DVD player, rear-view camera and Lexus’s perceptive computer mouse-like Remote touch audio and navigational control system complete the interior upgrades.
Building on the established Luxury level trim from its predecessor, the new RX 450h features an array of exterior stylish touches which add further impact to the car’s modern looks.
A deep front bumper with integrated fog lights and LED headlights that incorporate Lexus’s I-AFS auto-adaptive system helps set the new RX 450h apart from the previous version.
By matching the same specifications of the RX 450h Luxury, the Advance profits from a profound range of features that truly reflect the quality and innovation expected of the full hybrid SUV.
Smart Entry and Start, dual-zone climate control, front and rear parking sensors, plus leather upholstery, automatic windscreen wipers and rear privacy glass all come as standard.
The new RX is powered by a full hybrid system by deploying a 3.5-litre V6 petrol engine alongside a dynamic electric motor, together producing 295bhp with a 0-62mph time of just under eight seconds.
Good efficiency is of the main draws of the full hybrid system and the RX 450h scores impressively. Combine cycle figures of 44.8mpg and CO2 emissions of just 145g/km make the RX one of the greenest 4x4’s on sale today.
