Lexus is bringing its latest entire range of cars to CarFest South at Laverstoke Park Farm in Hampshire. The event starts today and runs between now and Sunday 24th August.
The CarFest event, now in its third year, was founded by BBC Radio 2 DJ Chris Evans and is a celebration of cars, music, food and family. The North version of this year’s CarFest occurred earlier this month at the Oulton Park circuit in Cheshire.
This weekend the fun has moved over to Hampshire, specifically taking place on a farm belonging to former Formula 1 champion Jody Scheckter. As they did last year, Lexus has brought a large stand to CarFest South.
Lexus is showcasing its full range of latest cars, including the brand-new NX crossover and the upcoming RC F sports coupe.
Also joining the Lexus stand this year is a LFA. The supercar, which ceased production in December 2012, is still recognised as one of the most impressive cars ever made by the Lexus brand.
For this year’s CarFest South, Lexus have also got a cool technological demonstration to show off its new NX in virtual form. At their stand, Lexus has an Oculus Rift headset set up which visitors to CarFest can wear to take a ‘virtual test drive’ of the NX.
As well as getting to experience what the NX is like to drive, headset wearers can also take a good look at the details of the NX’s cabin. It’s even possible to peer up through the panoramic roof to get a better view of the stars above. The Lexus NX will launch to the UK market in October 2014. Pricing will start at £29,495.
The Lexus range will be on display to the public throughout CarFest South’s duration this weekend. These cars join other exciting displays which feature historic Formula 1 cars and a host of hot rods and rally cars.
