Earlier this month, the 19th London Motorexpo was held in June in Canary Wharf and featured the ever-popular IS 300h model from Lexus.
Each year the London Motorexpo is one of the most popular motor shows in the UK and this year was no different as over 400,000 visitors flocked to the event.
The event always features a superb collection of the world’s most iconic sports cars and it wouldn’t have been complete without a Lexus model to round it off.
Lexus brought its IS 300h model to the expo, which was displayed in the transformed space of London’s Canary Wharf business and leisure district.
Recently declared the best in its class for safety by Euro NCAP, the hybrid saloon from Lexus is also an attractive model, with excellent levels of efficiency.
With regards to safety, the model achieved a premium five-star rating in its Euro NCAP testing and recorded an impressive overall score of 91 per cent.
The first full hybrid saloon from the Japanese car maker boasts competitive efficiency with a combined fuel cycle of 65.7mpg and CO2 emissions at just 99g/km.
This means that the IS 300h is free from VED tax and for those who are business drivers, BiK tax comes in at just 12 per cent.
The unit powering the Lexus IS 300h is a 2.5-litre four-cylinder engine paired with an electric motor.
Armed with this engine the model completes the benchmark sprint in 8.3 seconds and goes on to a top speed of 125mph.
There are four trim levels available for the IS 300h, although the entry-level SE trim offers a massive amount of standard kit.
Features on the SE trim include 16-inch alloy wheels, dual-zone climate control, a 4.2-inch colour multi-information display, a six-speaker audio system and Bluetooth phone and audio connectivity.
Available to buy now, the Lexus IS 300h starts from £29,495.
