Earlier this month car fans flocked to The Supercar Event by The Children’s Trust to get a glimpse of the Lexus LFA super car.

For those who were really keen to get up close and personal with the Lexus LFA, they had the opportunity to enjoy a passenger ride on the track at the event, which took place at Dunsfold Park.

As a sponsor of The Supercar Event, it was the pleasure of Lexus to be able to provide LFA fanatics with this once-in-a-lifetime experience.

Dunsfold Park in Surrey, is actually the test track for Top Gear, so it was the perfect place to let the Lexus LFA out on the loose.

Although this was a great chance for Lexus fans to get involved with one of its models, places were slim for the passenger driving experience, highlighting the luxury status of the model.

However, there were a host of other supercars on the track that were ready for all attendees of the event to enjoy.

As the LFA is one of Lexus’ supercars it boasts an incredible performance, which it delivers, courtesy of its 4.9-litre V10 engine.

Mated to an advanced six-speed automated sequential gearbox (ASG), the Lexus LFA sprints from zero to 60mph in 3.6 seconds and it goes on to a top speed of 202mph.

Not only is the LFA’s engine refined to provide the best possible performance but Lexus has also worked with Yamaha to fine tune the V10 unit, giving it an idiosyncratic sound.

As the Lexus LFA was tested at the famous Nurburgring, the model is available with an optional package of the same name.

The Nurburgring Package includes a track-focused suspension and a recalibrated transmission and it was with these changes that Lexus driver Akira lida managed a record lap time of 7:14.64 in the Lexus LFA.
