Orders have begun for the new Lexus RC F, the company’s most powerful production V8 coupe to-date.
Lexus is readying the coupe for launch in the UK before the end of the year, with first customer deliveries expected from late January 2015.
From launch, two versions of the new RC F will be available: the standard Lexus RC F and the Lexus RC F Carbon, priced from £59,995 and £67,995, respectively.
Both variants come equipped with a new 5.0-litre V8 engine, mated to an eight-speed Sports Direct Shift transmission and generating more than 450bhp and 520Nm of torque.
Numerous performance and handling features are fitted to the coupes as standard. These include 19-inch forged alloy wheels, active rear spoiler, Brembo brakes, Vehicle Dynamics Integrated Management, Lexus Drive Mode select, and Sachs monotube shock absorbers.
The RC F Carbon versions include additional performance features like a torque-vectoring differential and a carbon fibre-reinforced plastic roof, bonnet and rear spoiler.
As standard, the new Lexus RC F comes equipped with a plethora of comfort, safety and advanced technology features, as with all models from the Japanese carmaker.
Such kit includes dual-zone climate control, leather upholstery, cruise control, reversing camera, front and rear parking sensors, heated front seats, Keyless Smart Entry, and a 10-speaker multimedia system with Lexus Premium Navigation and Remote Touch touchpad control.
The pricier Lexus RC F Carbon version further adds a Mark Levinson Surround Sound system and Alcantara upholstery.
Customers can also choose from numerous optional extras. Optional features for the base model include a sunroof, torque-vectoring differential, Mark Levinson Surround Sound system, metallic paint, and Adaptive Cruise Control with a Pre-Crash Safety system.
If you’re looking at driving away with the range-topping Lexus RC F Carbon variant, then you can specify metallic paint and Adaptive Cruise Control with the Pre-Crash Safety system as an option.
