It was the world-first fully hybrid hatchback and now it has been voted as customer favourite in this year’s J.D. Power Survey.
Overall the Lexus CT 200h model ranked in seventh place and was a contributing factor to Lexus’ number one spot in the manufacturer rankings.
This is particularly impressive when considering that the CT 200h was a latecomer to the proceedings, but thanks to the customer-feedback nature of the survey, it also reflects how Lexus consistently meets the needs of its market.
Speaking on Lexus accolade and on behalf of customers, What Car? commented, “This is the CT’s first appearance in the J.D. Power Survey and it’s a great debut. Buyers enjoy the quality feel of the interior and the clear layout of the dashboard and instrument panels. They also like the smooth CVT gearbox.”
As a hybrid, the Lexus CT 200h boasts extremely impressive efficiency figures: the combined fuel cycle for the vehicle records at 78.5mpg and CO2 emissions come in at just 82g/km, making it free from road tax by a long way.
Even though it’s so efficient, Lexus hasn’t compromised on the model’s performance, recorded figures see that it will run zero to 62mph in 10.3 seconds and it will go on to a maximum speed of 112mph.
As a hybrid model the CT 200h comes with four driving modes: Normal, EV, Eco and Sport, which can be specified at any time.
Equipment levels are where the Lexus CT 200h comes into its own, the entry-level S model has 15-inch alloy wheels, electrically adjustable, heated and folding outdoor mirrors, Bluetooth connectivity and climate control.
The flagship Premier trim level for the model gets a Mark Levinson multimedia system with 13-speakers, LED low beam headlights with LED Daytime Running Lights and a sat-nav system amongst other extras.
Starting prices for the Lexus CT200h are at around £20,995.
